What a wonderful first day of Camp Discovery Vacation Bible School! A great group gathered as we focused on how “God gives us courage.” We learned about how God gave David courage to face Goliath, and so our craft was a slingshot.

This Sunday, September 7, begins our Christian Education season at Saint Peter’s.  At 9:30 we will conduct Sunday School classes for children ages 4 years through Eighth Grade. There will also be an Adult Bible Study at the same time. This will be video based and will follow Paul’s Maier’s Jesus, Legend or Lord curriculum. Confirmation classes will also be beginning on Wednesday, September 10.

To celebrate the beginning of our Christian education season, we will have a balloon release, a potluck dinner, and games for the kids!

Christian education is a vital part of our ministry at Saint Peter’s and a way that we live out Christ’s command to make disciples through baptism and teaching.

Today’s theme was “Jesus Saves Me.”  We learned about Jesus rescuing Peter from drowning in the sea and memorized Matthew 14:27: “Jesus said, ‘Take heart. It is I. Do not be afraid.'”

Did your child have a great time at Vacation Bible School?  We sent home registration letters to enroll your child in our Sunday School, which begins in September.  The learning and fun will continue throughout the Fall, Winter, and Spring!  We would love for you to enroll your child.
