Splash Canyon Vacation Bible School had a great start off on Monday as we learned about “God’s promises on LIfe’s Wild Ride.” Together we learned about how God was with baby Moses in the Nile River, protecting him so that God could use him to rescue His people from slavery in Egypt.

The day begins with children gathering from the village and countryside. Many of our children arrive on bicycle.

The program begins with Wild River Opening. During the opening, we introduce the topic, sing songs, and get excited for all that we will experience through our time together.

After Opening we engage in Music Time, and then comes Storyteller Time. The children get to participate in telling the story!

After Storyteller Time comes Leaflet Time, when we dig a little deeper in the Bible story for the day.

After all this learning and study, we take some time for recreation. Jump roping and kickball are the two most popular activities!

Then comes craft time! We made cross necklaces and boats, which reminded us of the basket-boat that baby Moses floated in.

We end with some more music and then closing. Check out the gallery below for more pictures from Monday!

Today we learned about the Triumphal Entry of King Jesus into Jerusalem, a king who came not to be served but to serve by taking away our sins through His death on the cross. Games, crafts, and song time  rounded out the day. Check out the gallery below, and also see our posts for Day 1, Day 2, and Day 3.

Leaflet study

Today we learned how God turned Hezekiah’s heart and protected him and his people from their enemies. The lesson was reinforced with a game of “Fortress Ball”, songs, and more.

Opening

Today we kicked off Mighty Fortress Vacation Bible School. We learned about how God brought the walls of Jericho down, and we emphasized that Jesus defeated our enemies of sin, death, and the devil by winning the victory through His death and resurrection. Here are a few photo highlights!
