In-person worship will restart this weekend on Sunday at 10:30 AM. We will also have an in-person service on Monday at 7:00 PM. Make sure that you make your reservations if you wish to attend:

Worship will look and feel quite different, so make sure that you read about what to expect this weekend if you attend worship.

While we are excited to restart in-person worship, we will continue livestreaming our Sunday morning service at our YouTube channel.

The worship folder can be found by clicking here.

Finally, if it works well for you, don’t forget the 4:00 PM Drive-In Service at St. John’s in Algoma.

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, in the love of the Holy Spirit.

On behalf of the leadership of both St. Peter’s and St. John’s, I am pleased to announce to you that we are going to be restarting in-person worship at both congregations. However, we will have a different schedule, and worship will look and feel a little bit different. Here is what you need to know as we begin worship again.

  1. Please do not come if you are sick! If you have a fever, cough, sore throat, or loss of taste or smell, please do not attend.
  2. Face masks are required. If you forget a face mask or don’t have one, please do not let this keep you from worship. We will gladly provide you with one.
  3. East doors open a half hour before service. When you come to an in-person worship service, we will be requiring you to enter through the East doors. The doors will open a half hour before service.
  4. Symptom check and in-processing. When you arrive, your temperature will be checked, you will have a series of health questions asked, you will be compelled to wash your hands, and you will be ushered to a pew.
  5. Service will be abbreviated and communion will be different. At St. John’s and St. Peter’s, we love the liturgy and consider it a gift from God. However, for a variety of reasons, we will celebrate an abbreviated liturgy. We will celebrate communion, but you will not be kneeling, individual households will be brought forward at a time, and only the individual cup will be offered.
  6. There is some risk involved with in-person worship. As you can probably tell, we are taking our responsibilities towards you and our community very seriously. However, whenever a group of people gets together, whether in a grocery store, at a restaurant, or at church, there is a risk of the transmission of disease.
  7. If you are older and/or have underlying health conditions, you are at greater risk. COVID has the most serious, even deadly, consequences for those over the age of sixty and/or those who have underlying health conditions. We are not going to prohibit anyone from coming to church who wants to come to church. But, we also want you to be aware of the risk involved.

Service Schedule

4:00 PM Saturday Drive-in Service at St. John’s
Holy Communion will not be offered at this service. This service is a great option if you don’t feel comfortable being at an in-person service yet, as you will not come into contact with anyone else.

8:00 AM Sunday Divine Service at St. John’s
Holy Communion will be offered at this service.

10:30 AM Sunday Divine Service at St. Peter’s
Holy Communion will be offered at this service. This service will also be livestreamed.

Finally, if you would like to receive Holy Communion but do not feel comfortable coming to a service, you can call Pastor Chris to schedule a home visit: 920-365-2218.

All grace and peace,

Pastor Christopher Jackson
