Our Pastor

Greetings in the eternal and infinite love of the Triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

It is my great joy to be the pastor at Saint Peter’s in Forestville as well as our sister congregation, Saint John’s in Algoma. I have been the pastor here since January 2014. Before my current call, I was a pastor at Saint John’s in Lexington, KY, where I also helped to plant a new church, Bread of Life in Georgetown, KY.

I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Valparaiso University in December 2001, my Master of Divinity degree from Concordia Seminary, Saint Louis, in May of 2006, and I am currently working on my Doctor of Education degree from  Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. I have been published in several journals including Touchstone, First Things, Lutheran Forum, and Christian Education Journal. I am the proud husband to Mary and the proud father of three children. But enough about me, for there is someone far more important than me who is the true shepherd of Saint Peter’s, and this is Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who took on human flesh in the womb of Mary 2000 years ago. He lived a perfect life, having no sin, and yet died on account of my sin and yours.  He rose from the grave three days later, ascended into heaven, sits at the right hand of the Father, and promises to come again to draw to His right hand all who believe and are baptized.  It is my great privilege to serve Him by proclaiming this Good News here in Forestville, and it is my prayer that through my ministry He might arouse and nurture faith among our neighbors.
