Saint Peters will be observing special worship services in Advent to aid you in your spiritual preparations for the Feast of the Nativity (Christmas). Saint Peters will conduct services on December 3, 10, and 17 at 7:00 PM, preceded by a parish meal. The service will begin with a ten minute hymn sing and then proceed with “Holden Evening Prayer,” a beautiful setting of the ancient prayer service of Vespers. If you prefer to worship in the noon hour, our sister congregation Saint John’s in Algoma will conduct a service at that time on the same days. The sermon will be the same, but it will use an abbreviated liturgy that will last no more than forty minutes. This service will also be preceded by a meal.

On Saturday, June 14, we held our first VBS Registration Block Party, which also coincided with Forestville’s Flag Day Parade. We contributed a VBS themed float to the parade, gave the area’s children some good fun with a bouncy house and balloon animals, and collected some VBS registrations.  A great day.

Did you miss out on our Registration Block Party but would still like to be a part of our VBS, July 14-20?  You still have time to register online at our dedicated VBS website:  www.stpetersvbs.weebly.com.
