A Statement from Pastor Chris

As many of you know, on Sunday I woke up to a fever and a few other concerning symptoms and therefore did something I had never done in nearly fifteen years of ministry: I called in sick on a Sunday morning! Thankfully, Rev. Thomas Krueger was ready and willing to step in, and as I watched the livestream from my study, I was glad to see though not surprised at how well the congregation was cared for by him in my stead.

Given the public nature of my calling, I owe you, the people I serve, an update as to how I continued to respond. On Sunday afternoon I went and got a COVID test. While I waited for the results of the COVID test, I continued to work, but I did so under isolation from the confines of my study. I made no pastoral calls during this time.

This morning, November 12, I got the results of the test back. I tested negative for COVID. And, since Sunday I have been feeling progressively better. Therefore, I will be back in the pulpit this weekend and will resume visitation next week.

Thank you for your prayers over the past few days, and I look forward to joining with you in-person to worship the Lord this weekend!

Peace in Christ,

Pastor Chris
