Ray Krueger, Rest in the Peace of God

Raymond H. Krueger, 97, Forestville, went to be with his Lord on Sunday Jan. 25, 2015 with his loving family by his side.  He was born Nov. 6, 1917 in the Town of Forestville to Walter and Sena (Feld) Krueger.  Raymond graduated from the Algoma High School in 1936.  He helped on the home farm after graduation until he built his own portable saw mill that he took all over to farmers who needed logs sawn.  Raymond worked for the Sperber-Krueger Lumber Co. in Valders  for about 30 years.  He was also active in the building of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Forestville.

Raymond married Ruth Roble on August 3, 1939 at the Tanum Church in Vignes.  They lived around Forestville and always had a garden until one year ago.  They grew the best sweet corn and raspberries.  Raymond was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, the Men’s Club of the church, Raymond and Ruth enjoyed looming rugs and making lefsa.

Raymond is survived by his wife Ruth, one daughter Beverly Harmann, Forestville; one son Larry (Jeanette) Krueger, New York; four grandchildren, Judy Harmann, Jerry (Lori) Harmann, Timothy (Lisa) Harmann and Amy (Shawn) Johnson; nine great grandchildren Mallory, Derek, Justin, Jana, Hannah, Jonah, Noah, Calab and Isaiah.  Raymond was preceded in death by one son Gerald, his parents, son-in-law Ernie Harmann, five brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law.

Family and friends may call at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Forestville, Wednesday, Jan 28, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. with Rev. Chris Jackson officiating.  Burial in the church cemetery.
