St. Peter’s Lutheran Church va a dar clases gratis de inglés por 12 semanas una vez a la semana, los lunes, de 6:00 de la noche por 2 horas, el 19 de enero hasta el 6 de abril.

Los estudiantes quienes hablan poco o no inglés desarrollarán mejor habilidades por este curso de inglés. Hay también cuidado gratis para los niños.

St. Peter’s Lutheran Church will offer a free, twelve week English Language Learners (ELLs) course on Monday evenings, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, January 19 to April 6.

Students who speak no or limited English will develop better English language proficiency through this course of English Language Learners (ELLs) classes. Free childcare will be provided.

Pastor Jackson would like to meet with the 7^th – 12^th graders and their parents regarding their interest in participating in a summer service trip to New York City in the summer of 2015. We will meet at Saint John’s, Rankin after the service on Saturday, December 13, to discuss this possibility. We’ll start out with a pizza dinner and then have our discussion.

On Monday, October 27, the St. Peter’s Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) helped Cub Scouts from Pack 4112 fulfill an advancement requirement by baking cookies. The women, the boys, and the boys’ sisters all enjoyed their time together. Everyone involved went home with some cookies, and extra cookies were given to some of the congregation’s homebound members.

Members of the Saint Peter’s LWML were featured in the most recent edition of Lutheran Women’s Quarterly, the national publication of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League/Lutheran Women in Mission. During Saint Peter’s Lent services, the women collected items like combs, soap, nail clippers, and towels which were then assembled with the help of the Algoma Cub Scouts. A shining example of Saint Peter’s partnering with other community organizations for the sake of others.

A group of Christians from Saint Peter’s gathered on Saturday morning, May 19, to clean up a two mile section of STH 42. As Christians, we understand that one way we serve God is by serving others, as we did on Saturday morning.
